Ever since childhood I have always had my nose in a book. Although my taste has become slightly more sophisticated, I miss the days when I had time to read a few Enid Blyton novels a week.
I qualified as a lawyer in London 1995. Being a lawyer involves proofreading and editing legal documents and texts, which requires a rather fastidious eye – making mistakes is not an option.
After a ten year stint in the Big Smoke I decided to return to my native North East and I have lived in Newcastle ever since. I’m so lucky to live in a city which has such an exciting and vibrant literary scene.
Several years ago I decided to combine my love of words with work and whilst being a lawyer I edited and proofread novels and music biographies, and undertook other projects.
I recently took a step back from the law and am now running my editorial business on a full-time basis.
When I’m not working I’m running, practising yoga, watching my kids play football and growing vegetables in my allotment.
And reading books of course…
